WATERCOLOUR WEEKEND AT OLD SLENINGFORD, NORTH YORKSHIRE
16th & 17th April 2016              £160 per person

Join me for a weekend of watercolour painting at Old Sleningford.

The setting is a beautiful part of rural Yorkshire, 5 miles from Ripon and art courses take place here in an 18th century converted stables.

The surounding garden has many features which make it an inspiring place to paint; there is an old mill, a lake with islands, woodland, a walled kitchen garden, herbaceous borders, summer houses and nearby,  old farm buildings. All this provides a rich variety of subjects for the artist.

Aimed at helping you develop a free and fresh approach to painting in watercolour, this course will look at many of the main aspects and techniques of the medium.  There will be plenty of demonstration and one to one tuition and participants will be encouraged to explore a more contemporary and expressive approach.  You will develop skills in applying washes, colour mixing and brush work.  This is an ideal course for beginners or those wanting to loosen up their technique.
